The headwaters of the Waipuilani Stream start high on the slopes of Haleakala, and begin to flow downhill through the Waiohuli gulch
Waiohuli gulch feeds water into Waipuilani gulch where it flows from mauka towards the flood-plain, before flowing underneath the Bridge at Piilani Highway.
